Tomorrow is Thanksgiving. I’m sure everyone has plans which involve being stuffed with Turkey, stuffed with stuffing. Before you pop that Bird into the oven, think about your table-setting, or “tablescape.” Having a nice centerpiece always brightens up a table, but if you aren’t careful, they can get big, and expensive. I do the same thing every year, and it never costs me a penny, although this year, I may do a slightly different, though just as thrifty design.
In the previous years, I’ve simply taken a clear glass pitcher, filled the bottom with pebbles, and then inserted some orange-berried branches from a neighbor lady’s yard. The branches hang over the fence, so I just walk buy with a pair of scissors, and snipp! It’s pretty easy, and always looks nice. This year, I may do something slightly different, something with varying heights, and maybe not quite as tall. Maybe something using some of that thrift-store silver I picked up.
What do you do?
